On arrival each morning We whisper a prayer That we can heal hurting With our love and care.
We strive for the best For the children we see. We want them healthy, To be all they can be.
We dry tears and mop vomit Clean blood -- and much worse. We offer our hugs, And help girls through "the curse."
Our job is not pretty, As others would say. But, we've made a difference At the end of each day.
Some parents hate us Others are glad Their children will have us When good turns to bad.
We're not here for glory, The pays not so great, But, caring for others Is our "natural state."
Stand proud, fellow nurses, While tending your flock, 'Cause, as we all know, SCHOOL NURSES ROCK!!!!!!
