Dear TSNO Members and Supporters,
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Becca Harkleroad, MPH, RN, NCSN, as the new Executive Director of the Texas School Nurses Organization, effective February 1st. Becca brings a wealth of experience and a strong background in nursing leadership and legislative advocacy to our organization. Becca is a dynamic nursing leader well-versed in the legislative process. She is known for her ability to work independently and collaboratively, and she is eager to elevate the mission of TSNO through her leadership.
In her previous role as the Advocacy Chair for TSNO, Becca coordinated outreach for support on legislative priorities, collaborated with stakeholders, and amplified the voice of school nurses. She played a pivotal role in advancing laws that affect the health and safety of our students.
Becca's experience as the Lead Nurse at Lake Travis ISD has allowed her to standardize school nursing practice in a fast-growing school district, manage campus nurses, and provide critical support to enhance their nursing practice. Her background also includes successfully coordinating professional conferences, showcasing her attention to detail and dedication.
We believe that Becca's passion for school nursing, coupled with her qualifications, makes her an ideal fit for the role of Executive Director. We look forward to her leadership and the positive impact she will bring to TSNO.
